Charlie Hardcastle, (b.1998) is a figurative artist whose practice revolves generally around portraiture and the representation of the human form. His work responds to his own identity and observations made on the surrounding world. Using oil paints to represent these observations in a detailed, figurative way - dealing with the human form in a delicate manner but generally with a surrealist undertone; such as mirroring and doubling, or distortion and graphic/digital imagery to juxtapose the intimate organic nature of the bodies portrayed.

Alongside personal practices Hardcastle also takes on commissions for realistic drawings in pencil, ranging from portraits of people and pets to other sentimental images.
